Personal training is one-on-one training with a certified professional who can guide you through the process of reaching your fitness goals.

Why use a personal trainer?

The reasons are unique to each person but usually reflect a desire for change - toning up for a special event like a wedding, getting stronger after an injury, jump starting a new fitness program. Or maybe it's just time. Time to feel stronger. Time to feel better.

How does it work?

Your personal training with A.C.E.-certified trainer Jennifer Mikkelson starts with an evaluation of your goals and current abilities. She then designs a program to help you move toward your goal, taking into account your current fitness level and any restrictions you may have.

How much time you spend on training will depend on your schedule and goals. A typical session is 30-60 minutes. Generally, clients purchase a package of ten sessions. Jennifer will help design a schedule that fits your needs.

Who can participate?

  • Almost anyone! This includes people with health conditions like diabetes, arthritis, pre/post surgery, etc.
  • All ages (we've had clients as young as 13 and as old as 95)
  • Women & men
  • Beginners  - those new to working out
  • Athletes (see our Sport Enhancement information, too)
